Today we are going to learn about another group of animals.  You know them...  They are colourful, they have got 2 wings, they can fly....  Did you guess?  Birds!  Yes!!

Birds!


Birds are OVIPAROUS, they hatch from eggs.

They have got BEAKS.



They breathe with their LUNGS.


Their bodies are covered with FEATHERS.


They can be HERBIVORES, CARNIVOROUS or OMNIVORES depending on what they eat.



Let's draw a bird and write a sentence about it.  

For example: 

It is small and red.  
Its beak is long and sharp. 
It has got a long tail.
